Lesson Overview

Mindsync is the key to understanding the mindset of our Paxtial Arts culture. It is the glue that binds all previous lessons together and will add to the measure of your soul’s expression as a peacemaker. That key is balance.

About This Lesson

Mindsync is your path to peace. To walk this path, you must synchronize each of the eleven previous lessons you have embarked upon in the Philosophy Course thus far.  Each single step taken precipitates the way to peace – inwardly as well as outwardly. Remember that this philosophy course is only one of twelve courses, written and created to add the missing Yin to the Yang you already have in your life.

It’s about finding balance.  This will be the missing piece, in your peace.

A top spins effortlessly because of balance. A juggler masters chaos because of skill. In life, people either spin balanced or they skillfully juggle. You might juggle at work and effortlessly spin at home, or vice versa. Job, family, hobbies, etc.

Martial artists, boxers, fighters, military and law enforcement all juggle many areas of life focuses simultaneously. They live on the edge, ever watchful of danger, and can view peace as a byproduct of the energy they exert.

That is why they are referred to as peacekeepers. When you spin a top into motion, whether by hand or with a string, you are applying a force. That force brings the top's potential energy or energy at rest into kinetic energy or the energy in motion.

The top spins and turns on an invisible axis. What is your invisible axis?

Checking Your Wobble

The Paxtial Arts was created to increase your yin. In extreme situations the water, Mindsound, in your invisible axis reacts on a subconscious organic level. Here is one indicator of what the conscious mind cannot control:

  • With good news your eyes dilate.

  • With bad news they contract.

This highlights a need for checking your wobble and your thoughts and acknowledging the imbalance in your deeds.

Brain fog, constant broken relationships, or never grounding, cognitive dissonance, is evidence your invisible axis is off balance.

Bad health, depression, or too much contention in your life is evidence, your angular momentum is out of balance;

  • Hence the need for Mindflip.

  • Where you study is in your Mindscope.

  • What you study is in your Mindscape.

The subjects under exam in your Mindscope laboratory is your personal:

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” ~Lao Tzu

“What we do in life Echoes in eternity” ~Marcus Aurelius

“Peace is internal and does not depend on external objects. The goal of subjective peace is to attain an objectless state of mind. Any objective impression of peace, which draws the mind out, has to be rejected” ~Vishnu

“Contrast is food to contrast because everything craves its opposite and not it’s like” ~Socrates

“I mean, nowadays, I mean, you don't go along on the street kicking people or punching people, because if you do, phthfft, (mimics pulling out a gun) that's it. I mean, I don't care how good you are, you know." ~Bruce Lee

Assignment

Group Discussion Prompt

  • Watch the film documentary “Happy” and share your thoughts on this 2011 documentary film that explores human happiness through interviews with people from all walks of life in 14 countries, weaving in the newest findings of positive psychology.

  • Also watch the film and share your thoughts on the film, “The Gods Must Be Crazy”. Set in Southern Africa, the film is about Xi, a hunter-gatherer of the Kalahari Desert whose tribe discovers a glass Coca-Cola bottle dropped from an airplane and believe it to be a gift from their gods. When Xi sets out to return the bottle to the gods, his journey becomes intertwined with that of a biologist a newly hired village schoolteacher, and a band of guerrilla terrorists.

Contemplation Journal

You are encouraged to keep journal notes of your studies. These may be a word, a quote, or an image that has resonated with you at a particular place on your journey. Journaling can help provide great personal insights, self-awareness opportunities, and keep you on track with your studies. As new revelations appear, reflecting on past journal entries can provide a good indication of your progress and personal growth.

For this lesson, here’s a few ideas that you may like to use to help get you started.

  • Draw a quick sketch of the Mindsync Glyph.

Here is your master homework, and this may take you your whole life to finish.

  • In your Mindscope, calmly look at, examine, and meditate on your objective left brain.

  • In your Mindscope, calmly look at, examine, and meditate on your subjective right brain.

  • Honestly ask yourself, are you more subjective or objective? Examine that question.

Peace Agreement

  • Make a peace agreement with the two sides of your brain.

  • After your peace agreement, find the center point between your left and right brain.

  1. Sync it like synchronized swimming.

  2. Next, take the center point between your left and right mind control panels and dive right into the center of your heart.

  3. From your heart, pull all of these key balance points straight into your gut.

This is the seat of the natural man's instincts. Your objective left brain processes daytime, external, sight, sound, and touch. Your subjective right brain records nighttime, internal images, words, and feelings. First and foremost, YOU are the ambassador of YOU. Left brain, right brain, heart, gut. Settle that.

Other things to think about

  • Measurements of tilt.

  • What are you spinning out?

  • Where is your center?

  • How does your life differ between the spinning top and the juggler?

  • How do you find peace?

  • How do you keep peace?

  • Is peace a state of happy?

  • What do you want out of life?

  • Is peace subjective?

  • Is war objective?

  • How do you access your invisible axis?

  • How do you teach Soul?

  • How can the sharp edges of the pomp, circumstance, power, hierarchy, and chain of command that is dominant in Western martial arts be removed?

  • Are you tilted towards Yin or Yang?
