Last night sometime between wake and sleep, I think I had slept a few minutes minutes and almost woken up so I think about 1 o clock or so, but I was thinking why do we have paxtial arts? I thought of some things, and in that state of wakefulness the answer came in a flash. I thought that's it. I woke up the rest of the way, got up, went to the kitchen table and was going to write the answer I had. But a
Somewhere in waking up and getting there the answer I received in a flash had disappeared. I did write however, "why we have paxtial arts and not just ask those who are good at talking to people and experienced in conflict resolution to play that role. I'm looking at that paper now. Today, Saturday the 23rd, I've come up with several good answers like cause we need people with some actual martial arts training to be there to play that role. All those answers. But these are answers that true as they are, come from the company president side of the mind not the intuitive side.
There are a lot of people out there who are good at conflict resolution and a win win sollution. The first i can think of are mother's. Then I think of business owners who most of the time are pretty good but there are some who learn to mis use those abilities. Politicians think they are good at it. So there are those who genuinely are gifted in finding a win win.
Can we rely on them completely? I don't think so.
Now I have the task of trying to find the answer I had in a flash. Maybe the reason I was given the answer is so I would forget and write this post and having had a discussion among all who would take part the answer would be more heard since many had discussed it not one guy coming foreward with an answer. Answers tend to work like that. If several people are working on it the answer is more remembered and accepted. It's kind of like taking a written test and the questions we just write the answer are soon forgotten after the test is handed in but the ones we wonder if it is a trick that we have to really think thru, those are remembered longer. Maybe that's how it is here.
I'm going to have to find it again. I think the answer had to do with credibility and being followable.
What do the rest of you think? I know i need to keep paper by the bed.
Why is it desirable to have paxtial arts not just rely on those who are good at conflict resolution? When considering that, what does your company president side of your mind tell you verses what does your intuitive side tell you?
If several of you answer I think we will see examples of both answers. What do you think?
I think the coin analogy is the best way to look at it. If we’re the coin, we have the potential to wage war on one side, but we also have the potential to cultivate peace on the other side.
I believe that those who have the capability to wage war the best can also understand the true value of peace. I think this is part of the reason Mr. Parker wanted to teach Paxtial Arts to Martial Artists first.
Life is full of contrasts. We can’t understand light without dark, and we wouldn’t have a drive to appreciate life while we have it if we didn’t die. I’m sure you can find many other examples.
All things have a contrasting element.
That’s how I see it at least.
